In these kind of positions something which really helps you to understand the best choice is simply listing what are the reasonable and possible moves.. Looking at the position the first thing I saw was the position altered with me owning my four point instead of my two point(one of the strongest priming positions...) so making 3pt instead of 4pt at least take a little thought...the second one is slotting on 4pt...not a bad idea, but there r two important disadvantages regarding this...first duplicating your 2 and 3 which you already need it to move 24/22 or 24/23. the second reason is stripping your midpoint. what are you going to do with your sixes(or maybe 5 or 4) (61,64,65), on the next roll? I am sure u will clean up your mid point which is necessary for you when you are ahead in the race in case of having a blot on 24.13/9 6/1 leaves too many shots and is poor ...I do not like it...13/8 6/2 is terrible of course...no need to mention..so I will choose to make 3pt ...
