Just consider if you were hit on the next roll, in which position your mwc is higher? Needless to say if you bear off 2 checkers and were hit on the next roll, you will certainly loose the match unless a miracle from the god of dice helps you...after you bear off 2 checkers and were hit, you will see your opponent splitting 19/24 or 21/24 and this would be your fatal destination ...and no need to say it is not a gammon go match ....so 3/2 is obvious (I do not see any reason for further explanation)
