Backgame positions are very hard to resist even if you know that your play will not be rolled out :) I would try 15/7 13/9* 9/5 here. Most of the chances for the defender during a 34 backgame come during the bear in phase which has already started. So there is no point in trying to prime white because he has enough timing to keep the 2 back anchors anyway. Having this in mind blue should just position his spares as good as possible for the bear in and move the checkers on the 13 and 14 point next turn. Many rolls like 35 15 16 for example do not play good for white and also white's fours are dupped as a small bonus.
