OTB i would have played 10/4 6/4. Casper's move makes more sense though.

With QF however I will try 3/1*(2) 24/20. White has a lot of good rolls next turn and the hit does not let him to make a point easily. This move also certainly wins more gammons. Also after making the 4 point, white will have some chances to escape with a lucky 6 as blue does not have builders in his board. But what makes the big difference for me is that blue has a huge advantage in this game so his win percentage should not suffer a big blow if things go wrong after the hitting play. He will be fine and be able to blitz that checker most of the times. Mainly for this reason, I believe that the extra gammons would be worth the risk. Admittedly it is the first time I apply this logic to a position so I could be proposing another clear blunder yet again :)
