New U.S. Rules ratified

If a player objects to me taking pictures of positions, what's the ruling?
Technically, that might fall under the purview of 1.5 as an electronic aid.
Practically speaking, if anybody really called me on that and a director ruled that I could not photograph positions, it would be game f***ing on. I would enforce every last ticky tack rule against them until the end of time, including moving checkers with one hand, not repositioning dice without notice, etc.
As a director, I would rule that it does NOT fall under 1.5, as I can interpret it as not being an "aid". You are making a record of the position, which I do not believe "aids" you during play. This is a far cry from jotting down the pipcount.
Naturally, you should not abuse this by photographing too often, but I've never seen anybody photograph too many positions.
He always objects to me writing down the positions.
If you were writing down the position, I would object to that as taking too long. Once in a match, maybe.
4.3 - A player shall move the checkers in an unambiguous manner, using only one hand. I wish more people would do this, I don't know why I find it annoying when ppl use both hands but I do.
Hear hear.
4.5 - A player may reposition his dice ... For everyone out there I suggest doing this at the beginning of your turn before you've even moved a checker. I often do this when I see my checkers may move where the dice are, instead of moving the checker and then kicking the die out of the way, I move the dice to the center of the board before moving.
Again, all sound advice. The other thing that I am seriously not liking is the practice of moving all the checkers, and then sliiiiiiding the dice along the playing surface. Dude, commit.
