In Nackgammon, it is important to get the back checkers moving right away, especially when you have a natural throw like this one. Make the 21pt anchor.

Regular backgammon offers only four natural openers: 65, 31, 42, and 53. In Nackgammon, 65 is still a fine opener, but it should be used to anchor. Three other rolls where the dice differ by 1 should also be used to anchor: 21, 32, and 43. Opening 53 in Nackgammon is no longer a pointing play. It should be used to split, Z (Reverse split) = 23/20, 13/8.

Nackgammon has a lot of nice openings.

@ (Anchor) = 24/21, 23/21
