If You hit then You get hit back in 1 of 3. After that how often do You get gammoned? I would say not all that often. White has to pick up the second blot and close his board and even then he's not a lock.

If hitting wins 10% more (not sure if I'm being generous or stingy here) then it seems clear to me that a third of whatever number of gammons white wins after hit will amount to less.
