In Response To: New U.S. Rules ratified (Gregg Cattanach)

Putting your own checker on the bar or placing your opponent's checker off the board but forgetting to put it on the bar instead? Two illegal actions that can never happen in regular play (you putting yourself on the bar or you bearing off one of your opponent's checkers) yet we allow them to happen?
