Do you think that 11* 3* is the dmp play? If not, do you feel this is a position where that rule should be ignored? Always remember that the play winning the most gammons is usually the play losing the most gammons. (here 6 blots! and the cube isn't turned yet) Pulls from both directions.

I played 20, 8 at first because I don't like hitting behind an anchor in general but here especially because it forfeits our 8pt and we have that huge racing lead. I solidified my stance when I asked myself "what would I play at dmp?"
