I think the current top backgammon players are quite normal persons, perhaps with a higher than average IQ.

I don't think you need a super high IQ to play backgammon at the highest level.

I don't think any of the top backgammon players have skills similar to those of a true savant such as Kim Peek.

Do you think the top backgammon players have any special abilities that are "sick"/out of the ordinary?
