Slot or Not? What's Your Play?

I considered bar/23, 8/5 and bar/23, 7/4 for some time. From those i preffered slotting the 5, but I do not believe that it is much ahead of the safe play. Then I noticed the QF play, which for me is bar/23 6/3. Almost all 2s are either dupped for blue (he can make his bar point), or very good rolls anyways. Moreover, while making the 5 is priority at the moment, blue will need the 3 point later to successfully prime white. It would be hard to imagine the opposite. 6/3 leaves a better distribution and looses less gammons. 41 and 43 are bad rolls for white after this play and blue has more chances to cover the point he starts.
Blue's numbers to cover and escape seem somehow dupped after this play, but slotting the 5 would work only after a few of white's rolls anyways.
All in all I see it like this: blue has an almost free chance to slot the 3 or a costly chance to slot the 5. The cost of slotting the 5 seems high to me and the importance of the 3 point is still high. So I will try the cost free slot. Not that I would be surprised if at the end I have to ask a friend of mine in America to eat at BK on my behalf.
