I can imagine that there would be some difference between short matches and long matches, but I would guess that there isn't much.
The main difference I see between a long match and a short match is that in a long match, you can get some large cubes in games with a lopsided score. So this will cause some errors that just can't happen in short matches. However, I think that typically, checkerplay errors outweigh cube errors by about a factor of 3 to 1 simply because there are so many more checkerplay decisions, and large cubes with a lopsided score constitute a relatively small proportion of all cube decisions. So I suspect that the effect on PR will be relatively small.
One can get a false impression that a low PR is easier with short matches because if you look over a list of short matches, you'll see more low-PR matches. But this is just because a long match is, in effect, an average over a larger number of decisions, so the PR's will tend to cluster more closely around the average and won't be spread out as much. If you take the total errors over the total decisions, I think it should be similar in both cases.
In fact, if you believe that money play tends to be easier than match play, then long matches have a potential advantage over short matches, in that a larger percentage of the decisions should be "money-like."
But like you, I would be interested in seeing data.
