In Response To: What kind of behaviour should we tolerate at a tournament - Beltway ABT example (Jason Lee)

I agree with Jason, up to a point.

I've encountered (and played with player A) many times over the years, at various tournaments, including this tournament. Even though this person may, occasionally, chat a little too vociferously, is always of amiable disposition.

I also played player B, after the match with player A. Player B was nothing but decent and respectful to me, even upon losing.

That said, I have encountered rude, loud, obnoxious, and verbally abusive players in the past month, (specifically the NYO) and I feel that if the tournament director steps in, as he/she should, giving sufficient warning to the disruptive player, and said player then comports himself in an acceptable/respectful manner afterwards, they should be given a second chance... if not, then I wholeheartedly agree with Jason's final assessment.
