What kind of behaviour should we tolerate at a tournament - Beltway ABT example

I have not played in tournaments for several years and am not familiar with protocols, but I do not see why the TD should refund a player's entry fee either as policy or discretion if they are ejected for disruption, abuse, or of course cheating.

This leaves the field open for an opportunist to escalate some trivial situation, or even manufacture one from a losing position, and end up trotting out of the hall with his money back. Is it worth the hassle and the consequences for a few dollars? To some people it is, especially when the adrenalin is on overdrive.

Besides, the organisers have fulfilled their obligations in providing the venue and frills, so any conduct that does not conform to the lowest expectations should rightly be punished with a forfeit of all monies in running.
