Making the 9pt here.

If you dont hit now, you are basically giving Stick free reign to bring his checkers round, bear in and off safely, and not opposing his gammon shot in any way.

So, I start fighting back now, hit and make the 9pt. Even if he enters and doesnt hit, then we earned an extra roll to try and be productive. If he does enter and hit, then we have a very well timed ace point game. I am willing to risk it at this juncture.

Either way, we must be pro-active right now while we have the chance.
