We're ahead in the race, so we want to take the game that direction, but it ain't going there if we make it too easy for Stick to send us back after he gets his board organized a bit. I play 6/1*(2) to boot his sniper out of the back, then look for a reasonable play with the other two 5s. My choice is 23/13, since that man we leave on the 18 isn't in much danger either short or long term. I don't like making the 18 because we are out-timed and can't hold it. We also don't want to stay back on the 23 to take shots at the blot on his 5, since we don't "need" to hit another checker.
