Yes, it was Jake.

I am a bit disappointed. I was hoping that people had more stories and more info available about this legendary player.

The story I was told years ago (don't remember by whom now) was that sometime in the early 70s Manny Wong took on the entire Mayfair club, playing a prop that 7 off vs a perfect closeout was a take -- and that after he won, he offered to play the same thing vs 6 off and destroyed all the other geniuses with that prop. And then, the story went, he did the same with five off...

I'm sure there is a grain of truth to this story (which comes out in the "six off is a take" maxim) but I'd like an accurate account of the incident and also would like to know more about this cat.
