How many pro BG players?

I guess I do not belong to majority, but I totally agree with higonefive on this point.

Personally I would not recommend running a casino either. And this is much much clearer than playing backgammon for money. Some people cannot play backgammon just because they enjoy the game. They cannot play just for the fun of the game. They do not act well when they loose money and this clearly means that they should not bet, but they cannot stop betting. I do not want to take anyone's money under these circumstances. If someone has a character weakness from which he/she is suffering, then I do not want to capitalise on it. I would like to hep him/her instead, but I do not believe I can. Moreover, there are other things I would like to do and I cannot devote my time on everyone. So I just do not play him/her.

It is possible that people can play backgammon for money and not care if they loose. I would not mind playing such people if I was sure that this was the case. But it is very difficult to know how someone feels inside. Many many people would just hide the fact. So I just prefer not to play for money.
