Well, I think Bob's argument is that by gambling you are providing your opponents with an opportunity for entertainment. This can be used for a good cause (relaxation and improvement of general well-being) or a bad cause (feeding an addiction). Bob sees little difference between providing gambling opportunities and, say, making fine wine.
