In Response To: How many pro BG players? (christian munk-christensen)

Good question, Christian, but it was not my intent to answer it.

Sondre asked: "u mean there is no difference(from an ethical point of view) playing a fish for money or attending a tournament?"

He did not ask: "u mean there is no difference(from an ethical point of view) between playing for money or attending a tournament?"

That would have been apples to apples as well.

There are two issues here, which I thought he was confusing, and which I therefore wanted to separate:

(1) Is tournament play ethically superior to money play (under which category I would include both heads-up play and chouette play)?

(2) Is it less moral to compete against others when one has an advantage (when they are the fish) than when one does not (and you are the fish)?

My aim was to answer (1) in the negative, and to remain (for the moment) agnostic about (2).
