How many pro BG players?

Money play is evil. It is one of my favorite evils. I did make that statement, as I have been encouraged to promote backgammon on the USBGF web site and Facebook page as an intellectual contest that is good for the entire family. And when I make presentations to schools and to teachers, I play down the money aspects and gambling aspects of the game, and if people bring it up, I answer that people can gamble on any kind of competition if they want to, but you don't have to in order to enjoy backgammon.

Why do you think that money games on XG are called "unlimited" games? We are trying to project a more wholesome image to the world to attract families, kids, and sponsors.

Please listen to that video again, and I think you will detect a tone of humor and possibly sarcasm.
