Interesting! At first glance 13/6 merely adds another spare to the 6 point, but it's fairly safe, creating no more blots while the 22 point blot is in little danger. 13/11 13/8 diversifies builders, giving a few (and only a few) numbers to make the 3, 4, 7 or 8 point. But White will have 9 hitting numbers im the outfield. Or Blue could hit 6/1* 13/11, giving 11 hitting numbers, but taking away half the roll.
Since none of these plays do much, and bringing two down or hitting on the acepoint turns many of White's rather average numbers into good numbers, and the pip count is tied after the play, which makes White a slight favorite in the race (in addition to White's positional advantage), which suggests that simply running the back checker is a good plan for White, and that giving White the chance to run with tempo by hitting in the outfield is a definite minus for Blue, I'd play 13/6, boring as it may be.
