From the moment that I realise I am in a backgame, I use QF even over the board. Not standard QF, but a weaker form. Maybe this is why I love them much more than standard bg.
No 1. Chase your next goal (making the 5) without fears. 16/10 13/11
No 2. I hit twice trying to bring back 6 white checkers as well to make me company. If even more checkers of mine are sent back in the process, then I play the backgame.
No.3 doing a 2 ply it looks like a double/take. A hit is not fatal for white, but so many rolls blot now and so many will in the future. Nonetheless, white has some good numbers and doubles. He will win gammons as well. Can these not add up to 25? It might, but I will not waste more time on it and take it.
No.4 this should be marginal D/T. white has very good equity if blue misses and although he might still loose, every time white wins it will most likely be a gammon. This makes up to more than 12% of winning chances. When blue hits a single checker (probability close to 65%, lost the exact count), I assumed that white will manage to bring the second blot to safety 20% of the time. Then with 1 checker back he should be able to win 50% of the time. This is another 6.5%. But still even if white is found with 2 checkers back he should be able to anchor and win some games. All this and the cube re big should add up to 25%
No.5 2 anchors and an open point just in front of them is strong. ND/T I will wait for 1 more improvement.
