1) A well timed 432 game is a weapon and Blue should move so as to attempt to improve or at least change the status quo. Blue shouldn't mind being hit here as White has only 5 checkers in his zone to build anything. It is certainly possible for Blue to lose going forwards, but often White may be making a serious error by hitting. I'd play 16/10 13/11 but won't be shocked if 13/5 is better, but I wan't to make my 5 pt with a 1 to use a stacked spare. However, I will make my 5 pt if allowed to next turn with most rolls. I'd not stake my life on a RO here.
2)No hitting..no way..just play 13/7 and it is unclear who the fav is, whereas if you double hit, White just enters and you're a clear dog.
I'd not stake my life on a RO here, but as I think hitting is quite wrong, a RO would probably show that.
3) I cube noting that the cube is centered so I am not giving my opp anything that he can't give to me anyhow, should he luck out. We are big favs inspite of not having yet covered our 4 pt (16 rolls do so 5's and boxes). Our opp's 3's are often disasters..just look at a sequence like covering for us and 43 for White.
4) I doubt this is a recube as the 4 rolls that miss are an absolute disaster with our opp playing on. Sure we lose the market with hit/dance or double hit and no 11 but by how much? Remember that if after we hit 2, and opp anchors on the ace noting our builders are far away, we haven't lost our market by much, if anything, and it is our side that can make all the checker play errors. I'd most certainly trust a RO here.
5) Ward, aren't you being a little hard on The Beaver?
Stick, do you want me to RO 3,4, and 5 and post in a couple of days? Although 5 is such a ND that it seems a waste of time to RO. OK I can do 3 and 4.
