If your opponent doesn't have a double, that means he's throwing equity your way if he doubles, so you should be happy to see the cube.

Or as Stick once said:

It reminds me of someone who reads on these forums I play sometimes who has said to me many times in the past "It may not technically be a double but you don't want me to double!" I never got this. I want you to make any wrong decision where you piss away equity to me.
