Any problems running Snowie 4 or GNU with Vista ?

I agree with Marty. I bought a Quad a fortnight ago and couldn't avoid Vista. Just try it out for an hour or two. Some things have improved (especially they spend more than 50 Cent for design this time) but some things are simply so weired, especially the so called security. I'm glad I now have a Vista for compatibility test but otherwise I don't touch it (I use Ubuntu-64 for real work on the quad).

In answer to Chuck: the number of XP systems to buy is growing again. And just think about company users, XP will be there for years (The company I work for spend several millions to change from NT to XP not so long ago and many other companies did similar. They will not switch until there family is taken as hostage)

To the hardware: The Q6600 Quadcore simply screams and is pretty cheap. Go for it (although I know only one BG Software that really makes use of multiple cores everywhere and is stable with that, but simply running several instances is a workaround in most cases...)
