Despite being down in the race, Blue should bide his time. This is now a holding game, and his race deficit could turn out to be a timing advantage. I would make the 4pt, and then run out to the 16pt. Running to the 18pt is probably inferior. It would give White the option to attack there or inside (or not at all), as dictated by the dice. Staying back also makes it tougher for White to find safe landing spots. Mike
