I have gammon count currently at 71 (66 to get all checkers to 6 point and then 5 more to bearoff a checker). Do you define gammon count differently?

Even so I would not say you would be a huge favorite to get a gammon. You would be worse than a 8 roll position and EPC of about 61. Wastage running off a gammon is less than it is for bearing off, I guess about 5 so after roll of about 8 pips EGC of about 68. That is a close take in a race so about 75% to win gammon after not being hit. Factor in that you get hit about 10/36 or 11/36 of the time and it is close to 50% to win a gammon.

Looks like TG but very close.
