I don't consider myself to be an "ambassador" of the game or an ambassador of anything but myself,

Well that's perhaps because you're the guy who sees you in the mirror first thing in the morning, scratching his tummy and dragging his fingers through sleep-mussed hair. ;-) But of course you're an ambassador, Phil. I hardly know you but from what I've seen, you are exactly that. I'd go so far as to say that you're an Ambassador with a capital 'A'. ;-)

It's not necessarily a role that on deliberately chooses but all of you with any prominence are ambassadors of the game to a greater or lesser degree.
