XG has already made a good start by creating a pie chart that breaks down errors into checker plays and various types of cube errors.

Supposing one wishes to break down checker-play errors further, I'm not sure that doublets vs. non-doublets would be that useful (again, I'm taking the point of view that these statistics are meant to help me improve, rather than to measure myself against other people or achieve some abstract goal of measuring overall skilfulness). Perhaps breaking the plays down according to the phase of the game might be informative, so that I can see if I'm throwing away a lot of equity in the opening or the endgame for example. It's a little tricky to come up with a formula for what "phase of the game" a particular error occurred in, but I think it would be possible to come up with something reasonable.
