I'm sure a decent programmer could do this, since gnu is open source. Only one needs to be.

Unfortunately it isn't that easy. Dueller isn't maintained anymore but I'm sure if someone is willing to maintain it, Tony will give him the sources. To support BGBlitz we developed an network based interface which is much easier to implement for any bot author than screen reading was for Tony (which was done for JF and Snowie IIRC) but:

Xavier isn't interested in supporting Dueller and suggested to use Fibs (IIRC his argument was that it takes time, a pretty rare resource for him, which is an valid argument).
