I run XG remotely (As long as my Tablet/Laptop is on the same network) using Microsofts remote desktop feature buitl into most versions of Windows XP, Vista, Win7, Win8.

First you need to enable Remote Desktop on the server with XG.

Vista, win7: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/turn-on-remote-desktop-in-windows-vista/

Win8: http://blogs.technet.com/b/digital_musketeer/archive/2011/09/14/how-to-enable-remote-desktop-on-the-windows-8-ctp.aspx

Once the server has remote desktop enabled, you just have to install a remote desktop client on your Tablet, Laptop etc. Microsoft Remote desktop clients are available on most devices (Including Apple devices and Android based ones). You just have to check the application store for Remote Desktop and you. One for Apple devices is here (As an example):

Android:

Just look for RDP and you should find it. Once installed you just have to direct it at the IP address of your server.

If you aren't on the same network as the server and want a no fuss method of using the XG server remotely then you may wish to consider a product like Webex

https://signup.webex.com/webexmeetings/basic.html?TrackID=1019672&hbxref=&goid=CiscoSMB_1019672

Webex gives you the ability to access the desktop of a server/computer through a web browser as well.
