I'm not sure what the best way to win is, but the hit has to be the best balance of wins, gammons won, gammons lost, and cube leverage, by far. You give yourself a chance to end up with the right side of a 2v1 prime vs. prime instead of the wrong side.

At DMP, I think I'd still hit. It may be closer though.
