I hope I won't sound rude saying I don't want to say much at this time. I am not hiding anything, I simply don't want to talk about certain things at this time. I will say say, however, knowing some things about a lot of things will help your game more than knowing a lot of things about a few things. Generalizations are good, precision at the expense of time is not. For example, knowing you can take the cube in a 20pt holding game down 20 pips, when bar point is made, is a good rule of thumb, but trying to memorize how extra spare on 7pt affects things compared to a spare on 6pt is not an efficient way to study the game. If this will lead to a small error--so be it. Knowing that a take point at xa-ya is 20.6 is nice, but knowing it is slightly lower than for money is just as good, and does not require much effort to remember. Understanding cube dynamics in match play will get you further than memorizing tons of reference positions at different scores (which you probably will forget). To make it clear, I am not saying that knowing small details is useless. I am just saying that a lot of such work is not efficient.
