I am normally a fast player, constantly assessing the strengths & weaknesses of a position so that when the time comes I already have all of that shit in my head, it's a question of what to do then. I never mind taking my time on any play that merits it, esp. since I play so quickly in general [I doubt anyone plays at least the first 3 moves quicker lol]. Never let anyone rush you, I make it a point if the fucker I'm playing starts shaking his dice while I'm still thinking about my play to take longer.

Also, the more often you do this sort of analysis (constantly!) the easier it gets. It'll get to be old hat hopefully for me, like w/poker where it's more of a reflex than a thought process.
