i like the slot @ all scores (unless playing a "giant" where i split @ GS). I've seen too many games go to pot with 5 checkers on the 6 point. worse case scenario, i get to work on my proto backgames. this is i guess a practical rather than theoretical stance, but in games that really count we're not playing against a bot.
