White is on the bar and we have his other back checker behind a broken 4-prime, which could easily become better shortly. We are ahead in the pipcount and behind in the match 2-9. All argue for cubing. Are our gammon chances strong enough for White to drop? I’m not sure, which, following Kit’s rule, argues for cubing. The only things that give me pause: we are outboarded 3 to 2 and have a blot on our 1 point. But so does White. I’m gonna cube this.
