educators can only point out the potential for their subject to affect the lives of their pupils. the motivation must come from within. becoming an expert in a particular area comes from focus and time spent (as well as aptitude) and the ability to ask why and seek the reasons our. in short, one must have a burning desire to become and expert and then walk the path. anything short of that and bobby fischer would just be another wood pusher.
