If you run, you will likely get hit loose, and if you miss the shot, you'd get doubled out. So you'd be an underdog after running. If you wait, white needs to find a play with the next roll, not so easy because most of the White checkers are tied down. In the meantime, Blue can build the 5th homeboard point, and wait for a better time and number to run with.

I am waiting and leaving zero shots.
