I have to agree with Matt here. This is a classic unturned cube heads you tie, tails you lose scenario, where the safe and simple 24/8 gets you to 50% MWC, while the more aggressive plays with 8/4(2)* 6/2 with another 4 somewhere.

If blue dances, do you turn the cube or go for the gammon? You simply don't have enough checkers left to go for it, so you have to cash. Now if blue enters anywhere, you don't even have enough for a cube, let alone a cash, so you are less than 50%.

First scenario you are as good as the safe one, second scenario you are worse off than the safe play.
