Breaking the 18-point means getting hit. Probably both checkers will be hit, and then it's a question of dancing long enough for Stick to break his board as we have no timing for keeping the full prime. With three checkers on the midpoint Stick just may have enough timing for us to enter before he has to destroy his own structure. I think I'll go with 6/1*. If we are hit it's okay since we can play with the checkers on the 18 when we enter, and the timing tips more in our favour. If he enters on the 2 he will have to move something else (except for 26), again in our favour. If he dances we might cover the ace and go for a closeout and a gammon.
