I think you are all missing something major here...or maybe I am

My experience in playing this kind of setup is to not worry at all about getting hit with all but his acepoint made. The only decision was whether to risk 3 back or 2 and getting hit on our ace helps us not hurts us. GETTING HIT IMPROVES OUR TIMING IT DOES NOT LESSEN IT. The ONLY exception is if we have 3 back and then roll 11 which is not bloody likely. Stick will crunch way before we do and likely offer shots for us to hit more back and get that gammon. The only thing I agree with in all these posts is to NEVER break that prime.
