In Response To: OLM Sat. Jan 5th (Matt Cohn-Geier)

There has been the discussion of OTB vs picking plays here. OTB I have often played as I chose the last time (once I figured out it won gammons LOTS which was in the past year, probably would have been sooner except I hardly played bg at all for the two years while in college), and don't remember losing although I'm sure I must have once or twice. Or maybe not and so that has just reinforced my choices in the long run.

So OTB I play the same 6/1 last turn. I chose the shitty play here because thematically I thought it now correct if the last play was. I'm not going to do that any more. I hope people learn from my responses as I am certainly - and obviously! - not afraid to be shown wrong. *grin*

I think from now on I am going to respond as though I am OTB and have a limited time to answer. For me, my plays almost never take longer than a minute (count those on one hand). And believe it or not, I have slowed my play down A LOT since I discovered I make better choices when not rushed.
