Even at match play (or money play without the Jacoby rule), I think it still is a double. I think there's enough losing chances here to make cashing worthwhile. You only hit the second checker with 16 rolls (any 5's, 62 or double 2's, 3's or 4's on which you'd make the switch play.) When you don't hit, and white anchors on the ace point, you are still a favorite, but not prohibitively so. White will have a chance to build a 5 prime or attack your unanchored checkers. You fare badly in a priming game since white has better timing, and may not be forced off the bar point for some time, especially if he can run his back checkers through the bar point. Yes, closing out two would give great gammon chances, but you still have a good bit of work to do before closing out the two, so I would cash.
