All I could focus on was getting gammoned for the match if I hit him leaving three blots.

I thought he would have problems clearing from the 9 and 11, I liked my timing in that scenario, and I significantly reduced the chances of getting gammoned. So, even if it doesn't work out I'm down 12-14 Crawford and live to play another game.

So, call me wimpy, overcautious, or whatever but I played 13/7, 13/10.

As luck would have it, to reinforce my error, it played out just as I'd imagined. He had to leave a blot on the 11, I hit him with a five point board, soon closed him out, and made the score 13-13.

Then I lost a race at DMP. Steve went on to win the Super Jackpot title.
