21/3*, 13/7 for me, because as you say nothing is "convenient", and this at least Looks Really Cool! But seriously, making the ace point from the midpoint overruns the position and gives him too free a hand. If you let him play, he might point on you and get a 2WF game going, or at least double-hit (the aces that hit in your board don't hit over on his side). The other option I see is making both the points behind him, but that seems antipositional despite the board strength improvement, and anyway it won't deter him from attacking you.
