The problem with more than 2 threads is fixed (since around mid-december).

But I don't use 4 threads for rollouts either, only for 4-ply analysis of matches.

For batch rollouts, I use a template commands file, plug match- and position-id in it, something like :
set threads 1
set rollout truncation enable off
set matchid ...
set board ...
hint
rollout =cube
export position text ...
and run it with "gnubg -t -c commands-file". Crude but simple. Keeping individual rollouts in .sgf files is awkward anyway.
