as much as i dislike "naked" ace point games, there is little other than 25/20 13/8 6/1*. the gold point is insurance against accidents, while making the 1 point can lead to some quick blitzes/cashes. i considered 25/10* 20/15 but it just doesn't have the "teeth" that 6/1*(2) does. 25/20 8/3(2) 6/1* commits us to covering the ace asap and losing the 8 point. another also ran, 25/20 10/3 8/3 doesn't put a checker on the bar which i seem to always enjoy.
