Chess is Life

I have been reading these comments, and staying silent on the matter. But Fischer said MANY things. One of the many (as an example) is that he thought the jews were trying to get rid of the elephants - apparently because their trunks are a reminder of the uncircumcised penis. And they were doing it by not doing anything about their dwindling numbers.
Now, clearly, this is the ranting of an unstable mind. It has often been said that genius and madness are just two sides of the same coin (or maybe I just said that? will check). In my mind, this is simply the case with Fischer - he was a genius, and completely off his rocker.
So, to even absorb his non chess comments is silly. To take anything he said literally would be wrong also. Yes he said a lot of unpopular things. But really, he wouldnt be the first savant in history to do so, he wont be the last. Just dont pay any attention to his nonsense, and dont be offended by it. I am sure he self justified all his public remarks, but that is for him to do - and is merely an extension of his madness.
