If Stick hits the blot, which is likely, he goes into blitz-mode. A doubled gammon is exactly what it takes for him to win the match this game. Moreover, he owns our five point and we have not developed anything so far. Stick has very little to fear and can hit loose in his home board to his hearts content. We can easily lose gammon here, and the only way to win is to not get hit and then win the race. Drop!
